Olunga Ranked Among Top 10 World Scorers Under 30 Years

Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga featured in the top ten world scorers under the age of 30.

Olunga who currently plays for Al Duhail in Qatar came in at 10th beating the likes of Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

Aged 28, the Harambee Stars striker has a total of 221 goals with the list being topped by Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.

Michael Olunga ranks first on the Al Duhail squad's Top Scorers list in the 2022/23 Stars League with 10 goals in 13 matches so far.

7 of the 10 goals were scored at home while 3 were netted at away games. 

In his career, the striker has scored from a penalty on nine occasions out of 11 trials putting his conversion rate at 81.82 per cent.

The Kenyan international broke the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League five-year goal-scoring record in his debut with nine goals in six matches.

Olunga became the first player to score nine goals in the Champions League since 2016.

During his playing time in Japan, the Kenyan star was named J1-League MVP after winning Golden Boot with 28 goals in the 2020 season.
