Former Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte has emerged as the favorite for the vacant Tottenham manager's role.
Reports from London indicate that talks with the Italian have advanced quickly.
The former Chelsea and Italy coach resigned from his role as Inter Milan coach last week, a move that shocked the world especially after guiding them to lifting the Scudetto for the first time in a decade.
Spurs made contact with former boss Mauricio Pochettino last week but PSG refused to allow him to leave.
Spurs have been without a permanent manager since the departure of Mourinho on 19 April.
Under caretaker manager Ryan Mason, Spurs finished last season seventh in the table, qualifying for the new Europa Conference League.
