France striker Karim Benzema limped out of Tuesday June 8, friendly against Bulgaria in a worrying sight for Les Bleus.
The star forward appeared to be injured after a clash with Bulgaria defender Ivan Turitsov in the first half of the fixture at Stade de France.
The Los Blancos striker attempted to continue with the game after the clash but eventually went down in the 37th minute and signalled to the sideline that he would not be able to continue with the match.
Benzema appeared to be having trouble with his right knee as he went down to the pitch in Paris.
Olivier Giroud was introduced in the 41st minute for Benzema as he limped off the field.
Benzema has been recalled to the national team after a six-year absence and is poised to play a starring role for his country at Euro 2020. That would now remain in doubt as the striker picked up an injury leaving the French team skeptical over the magnitude of the injury.
