
The first Formula 1 race of the season was held on Sunday with the Bahrain Grand Prix being the first race to flag off the 2021 Formula 1 season.
The Red bull driver Max Verstappen started off the race from the pole position while the Legendary Mercedes Benz driver Lewis Hamilton breathing closely from the second position but ended up winning the race.
In a gripping chase down to the finish line of the Bahrain GP the two top F1 drivers put up a show but things never turned out in favour of the 23 year old Dutch man Max Verstappen who won last season's Abu Dhabi GP.
It was a lucrative outing for the Mercedes Benz team as two of their drivers bagged in two podium positions after Scotish driver Valtteri Bottas came up 3rd behind Red Bull's Max Verstappen.
Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton took a strategy victory over the faster Red Bull-Honda of Max Verstappen in Bahrain for the opening race of the season. The drama was all about Verstappen’s failed overtake bid a few laps from the end – but the story was really about how he even ended up behind the Mercedes in the first place, having qualified on pole by 0.4s and led the opening stint.
The 2nd Round of the Formula 1 will be held in Italy on the 16th - 18th of April 2021 before heading out to the Heineken Grand Prix which will be held in Portugal from 30th April to the 2nd of May .
