Tickets for the 2021 Safari Sevens are now available. Regular tickets will go for Ksh 500 daily. The VIP tickets will be sold at Ksh 2000 daily for adults and Ksh 1000 per day for children strictly above the age of 12. 

Fans have also been advised to buy tickets by dialing *229*95# from Safaricom or head over to mtickets.com. 

Addressing the press on Friday, Kenya Rugby Chairman Oduor Gangla said, “Despite all the challenges brought about by Covid 19, we have managed to put together a competitive field. This year we are pleased that the event is happening." 

"We are also looking forward to seeing Shujaa playing, they had a good outing in Canada and the tournament is an excellent opportunity to see the next crop of stars come through the ranks.We are very confident about having an excellent event,” Gangla added. KRU Director of Rugby, Thomas Odundo, said, “it has been a bit of a challenge putting the event together but we have succeeded. We plan to have a 12 team format for the men and a 5 team format for the women. We plan to have two days of entertaining rugby that will be preceded by age grade and the ever popular veterans event on Friday.”

This year’s tournament takes place on 30th and 31st October 2021 at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium. A total of 12 men’s teams and 5 women’s teams have confirmed their participation in the tournament which was first played in 1996.

Confirmed teams :

Men: Spain, Germany, South Africa All Stars 7s Academy, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Samurai, Red Wailers, Stallion Sevens Nigeria, KCB, Kenya U20, Kenya Shujaa and Kenya Morans

Women: Zimbabwe, South Africa Select, Kenya I , Kenya II, Uganda
