Kenya Cup champions, KCB have made four new signings, a move deemed to help them chase for a record fifth crown.
Otieno joins the Ruaraka-based side alongside team-mate Bob Muhati, Blak Blad halfback Brian Wahinya and Steve Biko from Quins.
KCB are banking on Otieno to give them a different dimension in both attack and defense as he has shown his potential through massive hits and try-scoring prowess in the last two seasons.
The bankers had earlier in the transfer window signed Elvis Olukusi from Nakuru and Emmanuel Silungi from Homeboyz.
Assistant coach Dennis Mwanja said they needed to sign young quality players now that most of their experienced mainstays are in transition.
"If you look at our squad, the likes of Oliver Mangeni, Curtis Lilako, and Andrew Amonde are all aging and we need to get younger players who can maintain our standards and enable us to keep winning trophies," said Mwanja.
Mwanja noted that the competition for places in the squad will be intense following the latest signings.
“It's a long season and everyone wants to play and whoever stands out in training will get a chance,” he said.
Mwanja stated that the signings will give the side different dimensions and game plans for the season, which begins on November 27.
He also added that he expects the Impala floodlight tournament, which starts this Saturday, will be where the young players will have an opportunity to show what they can offer.
"We normally test our squad at the floodlights so this gives us a wonderful opportunity to check our fitness and systems,” he added.
However, the bankers are expected to start the season without important players like Patrick Ouko, backs Vincent Onyala, Asati, Peter Kilonzo and star fullback Darwin Mukidza who are with the Simbas for the Quadrangular tournament in South Africa.
