AFC Leopards is yet again in the spotlight but this time round for malpractices that seem to be a recurring issue at the prestigious Kenyan club.

Teamkenya.co.ke exclusively contacted and spoke to a source who candidly revealed the Club's mismanagement tendencies and unfair treatment within the staff & players alike. Speaking on phone, the source revealed, "The big issue with the coach (Aussems), leading to lack of training is how management decided to only pay first team players all this while excluding bench players and staff."

"The club has constantly been giving us promises since the start of the month (November)," said the source.

"All hell broke loose when the team traveled to Namanga for the preseason friendlies (matches against Nkanas FC & Morombo FC). The whole management office traveled to Namanga yet no proper plans or preparation were taken into account. When we arrived, hotel rooms were not even ready. This forced a practice session to begin concurrently as food was then being prepared in a hurry. We ate quickly even though the Coach was angry and disappointed with the unprofessional preparations," added the source.

"The interesting bit is that some from the management office went with us to Namanga yet none of them had ever attended a single game since the season began. We however went on with the match against Nkanas FC and. The job at the club seems to be hard for them and maybe they have already given up."

The financially unstable Ingwe has so far managed to collect just four points from the six league matches played. AFC Leopards coach Patrick Aussems has questioned the professionalism of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League side, suggesting some of the officials involved with the club are careless.

The 13-time champions resorted to using young players but have since failed to get consistency in the league after collecting just four points from six matches played in the new season. Ingwe have won one game, drawn another, and lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, the FKF Caretaker Committee has confirmed the top-tier could resume next weekend. The body has been mandated to run football matters in the country for the next six months and had initially suspended all top-tiers in Kenya for two weeks to work on regularisation. But they have now set sights on handing the Kenyan Premier League Limited another opportunity to manage the league.
