The tournament will be eventful for the fans as, during the group stage, the proximity of the venues will make it possible to attend more than one match in a day.

Winter Olympics - Beijing, China

The Winter Olympics take place from 4 February to 20 February, and the Winter Paralympics run from 4 March to 13 March.

In the Olympics, about 3,000 athletes will take part in 109 different events. There will be 736 competitors in 78 events in the Paralympics.

The organisers will be spraying no less than 1.2 million cubic metres of artificial snow onto the competition sites because of so little snowfalls in the Beijing region.

However, several nations are refusing to send official visitors to the events, because of alleged human rights abuses by China.

World Athletics Championships - USA

The World Athletic Championship will be taking place in the United States for the very first time. The best track and field athletes in the world will come together in a celebration of diversity, human potential, and athletic achievement.

WCH Oregon22 will take centre stage in the heart and home of the sport of track and field in the U.S: in Oregon, in Eugene, in Hayward Field at the University of Oregon.

Team USA, the world’s number one team will have the opportunity to lay it all on the line on their home turf, in a setting that is both richly intimate and magnificently state-of-the-art. An incredible theatre for the sport, the newly reimagined Hayward Field will become the epicentre of local, national, and global communities from July 15 to July 24, 2022.

Rugby Sevens World Cup - Capetown, South Africa

In its Interim Meeting in Tokyo on 30 October 2019, the World Rugby Council granted the hosting rights for the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2022 to South Africa. This is the first time the tournament is given to a country other than the United States.

It will be the first time the event has been hosted on the African continent. This will be the eighth edition of the showcase event and the first time that it has been held on the African continent.

For the first time, the rugby Sevens will be held simultaneously in both the men's and women's divisions across three days of play as part of the redesigned World Rugby Sevens Series.
