
Magical Kenya Ladies Open champion Esther Hensleit has come out to reveal who played a major role in her defending the title.
The German who staged a brilliant comeback to win the Magical Kenya Ladies Open in Vipingo PGA Golf Club revealed that her boyfriend was a key figure in her victory.
She noted that her boyfriend caddied for her through the four days helping her with a few tactics that helped her beat, Linnea Strome.
“A special thank you to my boyfriend who caddied for me this week and was also my coach and really helped me over the last year with my swing so he is very important today,” Hensleit stated.

After staging a scintillating comeback to defend her Magical Kenya Ladies Open title in Vipingo Ridge PGA Golf Club, Germany’s Esther Hensleit has revealed that her boyfriend played a key role.
The 23-year-old had her campaign effectively sewn up when longtime leader Linnea Storm faltered on the final round.
The German noted that defending her title was not easy as she was under pressure which affected her in the opening three rounds.
“Things were made more difficult when I hit the ball in the water to complicate things but I had to concentrate and focus so that I could score the much-needed points.
“It is always an immense pleasure to be back again, I thank the Kenyan government for supporting women's golf,” she noted.
Henseleit took home a ksh5.8 Million as cash prize, which was handed over to her by Kenya’s First Lady Margaret Kenyatta who graced the occasion.
According to the Ladies Professional Golf Association website, the German has made over ksh50 Million in career earnings.
