In 1975 when Kenneth Matiba was the President of the Kenya Football Federation he scheduled a match in order to fight witchcraft in football.

Matiba's strategy to bring to an end the belief was to combine the then best teams in Kenya and set a match between them and an English Premier League side.

During that time Norwich was on a pre-season tour in Kenya and Matiba invited AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, Champion FC and Mwenge FC to play friendly matches against the English Premier League.
