
World marathon record holder Eliud Kipchoge is highly known for his simple and humble lifestyle despite his high-paying profession.
In a past interview, Kipchoge revealed some of the key essentials he would not live without. One of the sophisticated items the marathoner would not live without was his Oura sleeping ring.
The sleeping ring has features that aid learning about one's activity and lifestyle habits with analysis on how the various factors affect one's sleep.
Kipchoge noted that he wears the ring when he goes to bed in order to measure the duration he takes when sleeping.

Phone and Earphones
According to the prolific athlete, he has to carry his phone in order to help him in communicating with family, teammates, coaches, his management and also to be updated on what is happening around the world.
“I stay in contact with my family and friends through texting and face time...I trust this is what gets me to move around,” Kipchoge revealed.
He also noted that he cannot have the phone without his branded earphones.
“It goes hand in hand with my phone. The year phones are also branded ‘no human is limited’ with his signature.
Training Log
Kipchoge has a place where he notes some of the key training outcomes.
He believes that there is a big difference between a diary and a training log. “I have 12 pages covering every month, in this training log there is my training shoe, its happiness: if I am feeling comfortable in them, if there is any pain or injury,” Kipchoge stated.
E.K Jacket
Eliud has a clothesline which has shoes, jackets and other assorted wears with the initials EK branded on them.
For Kipchoge, it's important for him as he leaves the house to carry the branded EK jacket as he finds it as a source of inspiration to many.
The reason why I am carrying around the EK jacket is for inspiration. When I wear the EK jacket, I feel like I have done a lot which can inspire people,” Eliud noted.
Tea.
Kipchoge, who is a tea and dairy farmer, is also a lover of tea which he likes having when he is relaxing.
“After a busy day and I think I need to relax I drink tea with a lot of sugar,” Kipchoge noted.
Kipchoge noted that the only way to make his mind rejuvenated is through drinking tea.
Diary
Kipchoge uses his diary to record all his training programmes and all daily happenings.
“It helps me track what I have been doing and in each year I have one,” Kichoge noted
By 2021, Kipchoge had noted he had 17 diaries which he accumulated in 17 years.
