Tennis star Roger Federer will offer a wide range of personal memorabilia for auction at Christie’s London in June so as to raise funds for his charity organization, the Roger Federer Foundation.

The items collected during his entire tennis career to date, the items represent iconic moments to celebrate his success in major sporting events.

The auction will be conducted both  physically and on online platforms from June 23rd  upto July 14th.

The 39-year-old tennis player, who has won 20 Grand Slam men's singles titles, a record shared with Rafael Nadal, has a dual citizenship of both Swiss and South African countries. Back in 2003, he established the Roger Federer Foundation to help disadvantaged children through access to education and sport.

Each lot in the live auction represents an iconic moment from either the Australian Open, the French Open, Wimbledon, or the U.S. Open.

The sports memorabilia market has been booming for years, in particular for match-worn and signed pieces by the various sports icons and Roger Federer looks forward to tapping the market and generating some revenue that would be used as Charity in his Foundation.

“Every piece in these auctions represents a moment in my tennis career and enables me to share a part of my personal archive with my fans around the world,” Federer said in a statement. “More importantly, the proceeds will support the Roger Federer Foundation to help us continue to deliver educational resources to children in Africa and Switzerland.”

The 20 time Grand Slam champion has received support from the many of his fans who narrate that Federer is not only a Tennis player but an icon that reflects the beauty of the game since his auction idea is just pure class and of a good course.
