Nottingham Forest ended their 23-year exile from the Premier League with a 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town in the Championship playoff final on Sunday, May 29 at London's Wembley Stadium.
No team has had such a long period of time between two seasons in the competition, and Forest is finally back after Levi Colwill's own goal at Wembley Stadium.
The team, which shares the red nickname with Liverpool, was relegated from the Premier League after the 1998/99 season where they finished 20th.

Nottingham Forest has two UEFA Champions League titles from 1979 and 1980 which is more than Arsenal's one title in 2003.
Promotion completes a remarkable season for the Reds and head coach Steve Cooper.
This time last year Cooper was on the losing side at Wembley as his Swansea City side was beaten by Brentford in the 2020/21 Championship playoff final.
When Cooper took charge of Forest in September 2021, they were bottom of the Championship. Ever since, Reds have acquired the most points of any Championship team, climbing to a fourth-place finish in the European Football League.
Forest's winger Brenna Johnson has been instrumental in the rise. The 21-year-old scored 19 Championship goals this season, with 13 of those coming in 2022, and he struck both semi-final matches to claim a 2-1 playoff victory over Sheffield United.
The promotion also means a Premier League return for defender Steve Cook, who spent five seasons in the competition with AFC Bournemouth.
This will be Forest's sixth EPL season in the Premier League, with their best campaign being in 1994/95 when they finished third under Frank Clark.
The Reds join Championship winners Fulham and runners-up AFC Bournemouth who have also been promoted to the Premier League.
As the next EPL season kicks off in August, Forest's fans will be on the lookout for EPL fixtures to see who will be playing with their team.
