
Arsenal football club released a statement on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 concerning their upcoming Premier League fixture against reigning champions Manchester City and the postponed Europa league clash.
The North London-based club announced that they will play the postponed Europa League match against PSV on October 20.
“Our UEFA Europa League home fixture against PSV Eindhoven, postponed after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, has been rescheduled for Thursday 20 October, kicking off at 6:00pm,” read a statement from Arsenal.

The Gunners were set to welcome PSV at the Emirates this Thursday, but the match was delayed due to lack of enough law enforcement officers in London.
Arsenal started their 2022 Europa League campaign on a high by beating minnows FC Zurich 2-1 on September 8.
New boy Marcus Vinicius Oliveira Alencar aliás Marquinhos and Eddie Nketiah were on target for the Mikel Arteta coached side. FC Zurich’s only goal was scored by Mirlind Kryeziu.
According to the press release, the rescheduling of the PSV clash has affected their upcoming tie against Manchester City.
“To accommodate the rescheduled PSV Eindhoven fixture, our Premier League home fixture against Manchester City, scheduled for Wednesday 19th October, has been postponed.
“We are working with the authorities to reschedule the Manchester City match and any tickets (including those purchased via Ticket Exchange or received via Ticket Transfer) and/or hospitality packages purchased for this fixture will be valid for the rescheduled date,” the statement added.
A number of EPL matches that had been slated for this weekend were also postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
