Kenyan swimming teams will represent the country in the upcoming competitions following the intervention to solve the leadership crisis.
On October 8, The Kenya Swimming Federation (KSF) Stabilisation Committee, which was put in place by the world swimming governing body, FINA, came up with a road map to fresh elections.
The three-member team committee, which is headed by South Africa’s Jace Naidoo, will announce a team that will spearhead its operations before the end of next week.

The Stabilisation Committee noted that anyone who intends to vie for the posts in the coming elections will not be included in the team.
The intervention follows a meeting which was chaired by FINA Vice President and IOC member Ramsamy Sambasivan which resolved to address the leadership issues in the swimming sector.
"I am very impressed with what happened today. The three-person Stabilisation Committee has done an excellent job, and the interaction and the interaction has been good. We had coaches, parents and swimming administrators, and they all agreed this was the right way to go.
"We hope that Kenya is going to be a full member like south Africa Uganda and other countries and take part in most activities. The most important people who are the swimmers have been suffering and we cannot allow that I am certain with the confidence I have with this team here they will do an excellent job and progress swimming to an elevated level," Ramsamy Sambasivan explained.
Responding to FINA's directive, National Olympic Committee Kenya (NOC-K) secretary general Francis Mutuku noted that through the Stabilisation Committee, all swimming stakeholders will be brought together for the betterment of the sport.
Mutuku added that it was important to lay aside differences within the Federation and seek a solution to see the resumption of normalcy in the Swimming fraternity.
FINA took over the running of swimming in Kenya in July and appointed a Stabilisation Committee to run activities of the federation as they help the federation plan for fresh elections.
During the appointment of the Stabilisation Committee, FINA Executive Director Brent Nowicki noted that the move was due to KSF defying the rules repeatedly.
The Stabilisation Committee was given six months to fix things at KSF.
