
Faith Wathome, the Head of hospitality at WRC Safari Rally emerged winner in the Top 100 Travel and Tourism Personalities Awards Africa.
During the 2021 WRC Safari rally that was held in Kenya, Wahome, who was best in Hospitality, was in charge of protocol.
Part of her work was to ensure over 2,500 people are well accommodated and fed during the Rally Week from June 19 to June 27.
She is among four Kenyan women who have dominated the top ten list in the Top 100 Travel and Tourism Personalities Awards Africa.

"The Award ceremony will be held on October 31, 2022, at Akwaaba African Travel Market in Lagos, Nigeria," the statement read.
Some of the positions she previously held include the Minister for Culture and Tourism for Machakos County in 2013.
She has also served as the Chairperson of the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference (ESTC) Local Organizing Committee.
Wathome was also on the Brand Kenya board, at Kenya Wildlife Training Institute and is the founding Chairperson of the Kenya Association of Women in Tourism.
The WRC Safari Rally made its return to Kenya in 2021 with an agreement in place until the end of 2023, however, it was later extended to 2026.
After the new agreement Kenya set up an office in Lahti, that will help market the country as a sports tourist destination.
