“My conversation with FIFA has been about finding a consensual resolution to the confusion that has hindered the return of Kenyan football to normal,’ Ababu noted.

Ababu had promised that his number one call would be to FIFA's president Gianni Infantino upon assuming office.

In the meeting with the Kenyan football club's heads, Ababu pledged to adhere to FIFA’s demand letter to have the suspension lifted.

They requested that excommunicated FKF vice president Doris Petra, chief executive Barry Otieno and the entire secretariat be reinstated back to the offices.

“We request for the demands and conditions laid down by FIFA in their letter of February 24, to be complied with to the extent that the Vice President of the Federation is restored and the Secretariat at Kandanda House be opened,” Rachier stated.

The Sports CS assured the stakeholder that he would communicate with FIFA to have football resume as soon as possible.

Ababu was in company with the newly nominated Sports and the Arts Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke.
