The decision by Tite, which caught many by surprise, drew mixed reactions from different pundits, clubs and left-out players.
Premier League side Newcastle United took to their social standing with their top midfielder Joelinton stating, "His time will come.”
The 26-year-old had an outside chance of going to the tournament due to his incredible transformation under Magpies boss Eddie Howe.
Others questioned the decision by Tite to exclude Liverpool forward Robert Firmino from the squad.
Firmino was included in Brazil’s last squad for September’s international friendlies against Ghana and Tunisia but did not play.
According to statistics, Firmino has more goals compared to Martinelli, Jesus, Richarlison, Rodrygo Antony and Raphinha who were called up for the assignment.
The Liverpool number nine has not played for his country since the 2021 Copa America.
Atletico Madrid player Matheus Cunha posted a video where he was seen in distress with his face against the wall after missing the call-up.
Aston Villa midfielder Philippe Coutinho missed the international call-up after sustaining a thigh injury during training.
Samba Boys who are among the tournament's favourites are in Group G together with Serbia, Cameroon and Switzerland, with their opening fixture on November 24, against the Serbs.
