Cameroon Arrives in Abu Dhabi for Final Word Cup Preparations

Cameroon's advance delegation left the country's capital Yaoundé on November 10 for their final camp in Abu Dhabi. 

The team led by Cameroon FA president Samuel Eto'o, Coach Rigoberto Song, and staff members, including five other players, arrived in Abu Dhabi on November 11. 

The five players include Davis Epassy, Ngom Mbeleki, Marou Souaibou, Vincent Aboubakar and Fai Collins.

In Abu Dhabi, the Indomitable Lions will play against Panama on Friday, November 18, at the Mohammed Bin Zayed stadium, for their last friendly match. 

The Indomitable Lions played Jamaica on Wednesday, November 9, in a friendly match that ended in a 1-1 draw. 

On November 9, Cameroon head coach Rigoberto Song unveiled a list of 26 players that will feature at the FIFA Qatar World Cup Qatar 2022. 

Cameroon will kick off its World Cup campaign against Switzerland on Thursday, November 24, at the Al Wakrah Sports Complex. 

The Indomitable Lions are in Group G together with Switzerland, Brazil and Serbia. 

This will be Cameroon’s eighth time to feature in a World Cup, which will see the country set a record for an African country with the most appearances at the world football tournament. 

Other countries from Africa that will be playing in the World Cup tournament include Ghana, Morocco, Tunisia and Senegal.
