Under the new conditions, the federations must make a declaration of sponsors or funding received aside from the government.

The different federations will also be required to involve the government while bidding for events. It will also be mandatory to have a physical office address and a secretariate.

The federations will be required to act by the Sports act and hold fair, free and timely elections.

“Sports is one the biggest branding platform for Kenya. Things will change and change starts with leadership,” Namwamba stated.

Namwamba also gave the federation and sports personalities conditions they needed to meet for government support.

"If Federations and Sportspersons want policy and financial support from Government, they must accept to be transparent and to be held accountable.

"Let us eliminate doping, which poses a threat to the health of our sportspersons and Kenya’s prestige and image," Namwamba added.

The CS also called on the federation leadership to unite and exercise openness in executing their functions.
