Sharks' new players came largely from the club's youth team, St. Joseph’s FC, Migori Youth FC, and Nzoia Sugar FC.

The other club with new incomings is FC Talanta, which has signed 15 players. Most new players are from Kibera Soccer FC, Posta Rangers and Liberty Sports Academy.

19-time Kenyan Premier League winners, Gor Mahia promoted John Nyawir, Lyson Muyomga, and Paul Ochioga from the youth team.

Gor is currently facing a transfer ban for failing to pay owed salaries to their former players.

Joining K’Ogalo with the FIFA transfer ban is top rival AFC Leopards.

The 2022/2023 FKF Premier League is underway, with Tusker and Gor Mahia topping the table with six points each.
