
Chelsea is said to have agreed with the 2022 World Cup Young Player of the tournament Enzo Fernandez to join the Premier League side.
According to Italian football journalist, Fabrizio Romano the Argentine midfielder Chelsea is currently in talks with Benfica.
Enzo Fernandes's performance at the World Cup made him a name to be sought out for by different clubs.

“Chelsea is now in direct talks with Benfica for Enzo Fernández. Chelsea wants to offer a huge fee instead of paying a release clause in one solution.
“Benfica always asked full Ksh15.7 billion (€120 million) clause. Understand Enzo already said yes to Chelsea,” Fabrizio’s Tweet read.
Fabrizio also confirmed that both Manchester United and Liverpool are yet to make a bid for Enzo.
Benfica manager Roger Schmidt was asked to comment on the speculation surrounding Enzo’s transfer where he noted he would respect the decision made by the midfielder.
The Benfica boss noted is not sure what will happen once the window officially opens adding that they might lose some players.
Enzo, 21, joined Benfica in August 2022 from River Plate.
"These young players sometimes have opportunities. It's not just Enzo, it's all the players. It's part of the football business. If they have opportunities, they have to make decisions. I can give them advice and recommendations. But I always respected the players' decisions, because they only have one career," Roger Schmidt stated.
