Cristiano Ronaldo Junior has followed in his father's footsteps by exiting the Manchester United youth Academy.

According to Spanish journalist Edu Cornago, the 12-year-old has reportedly joined Real Madrid. Cristiano Jr joined the Red Devils alongside his father back in 2021.

In a previous interview, Ronaldo revealed that his son had requested him not to retire as he desired to play together.

The 37-year-old striker has, however, been keen to highlight that his son has no pressure to be a full-time footballer.

Ronaldo's mother has in the past praised her grandchild claiming he was better than his father at his age.

This comes at a time when Ronaldo has been training at Real Madrid following his exit from Red Devils.

Ronaldo terminated his contract with Manchester United before his country began the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 campaign.

Portugal was bundled out of the World Cup in the quarter-finals by Morocco in a 1-0 scoreline.

Ronaldo is currently a free agent with Saudi Arabia side Al Nassr linked with signing the Portuguese star.
