
According to Goal, ex-Real Madrid tactician Zinedine Zidane has turned down a coaching job with the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT).
Zidane was in line to become the French boss, but the recent extension of Didier Deschamps's contract means he would have to wait a bit longer.
According to Goal, the offer that the USMNT gave Zidane was attractive, but the former midfielder decided not to sign a contract with them.

Zidane’s last managerial job was two years ago, with the multiple UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid.
He resigned from the club on Thursday, May 5, 2021, after a run of successful campaigns.
“Real Madrid CF announces that Zinedine Zidane has decided to end his current stage as coach of our club.
“Now is the time to respect his decision and show him our appreciation for his professionalism, dedication, and passion over all these years, and for what he represents for Real Madrid.
“Zidane is one of the great myths of Real Madrid and his legend goes beyond what he has been as a coach and player for our club,” read part of the statement from the Los Blancos then.
The USMNT is seeking to appoint a new manager to fill the void left by Gregg Berhalter, whose contract expired a week ago.
Berhalter, who guided USMNT during the 2022 Qatar World Cup, has also been caught up in a domestic violence scandal.
The United States and its neighbours Mexico are scheduled to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Upcoming global event would be the biggest in the competition's history since, for the first time, 48 teams are expected to grace the tournament.
