Tanzania boxer Karim Mandoga explained the reason he makes his remarks ahead of a fight.
Speaking after he arrived in Kenyan on Wednesday night, January 11, 2023, Mandonga noted he does the pre-match talking to promote his fight.

“Everyone has their chance to speak as we all have a mouth. One uses their mouth to eat and talk not carry luggage.
“I will teach many to use their mouth. Boxers need to know that there is no sport that gets promoted without talking. How will the fans know you without talking?
Many boxers talk as if they are ailing and if you see such a boxer it's either they are not eating well, sleeping enough, and not training well,” Mandonga stated.
Mandonga also warned his opponent Daniel Wanyonyi to prepare for a ruthless bout come Saturday, January 14, 2023.
The Tanzanian boxer noted that the match will end in a certain defeat for the Kenyan when the two boxers clash against each other at the KICC Ballroom.
"Wanyonyi might have heard stories about Mandonga and I have received a report that he is an experienced boxer without any records," the Tanzanian athlete indicated.
Mandonga and Wanyonyi will act as a curtain-raiser for the Rayton Okwiri fight against Tanzania's Ally Ndaro which is the main event.
In his last fight Mandonga beat fellow compatriot Said Mbelwa on a technical knockout.
