Nairobi City Stars head coach Nicholas Muyoti claimed that the referee helped Gor Mahia pick three vital points in their Kenya Premier League match on Saturday evening, February 4.
Gor Mahia narrowly defeated the City stars 1-0 at an end-to-end match held at the Nyayo National Stadium.
According to Muyoti, one of his charges was fouled before Gor Mahia’s Benson Omala scored the winning goal.

“It feels really bad, but thank you to my boys. They have made the effort and still, the referring decision cost us a goal, a clear foul on our player.
“I don’t understand these things. We are working so hard for our players, but whatever is happening, I don’t understand. I don’t know what to say,” he lamented.
This was not the first time that Nairobi City Stars officials were expressing their displeasure with match officiating in the top-flight league.
Last week, the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Patrick Korir also alleged that matches were being fixed in the Kenya Premier League.
Korir alleged that the referee was corrupt in their 2-1 loss at the hands of Bandari FC in Mombasa.
He stated that he had already aired his frustrations to the federation, terming the incident as match-fixing.
Gor Mahia’s win over Nairobi City Stars was enough to help them to climb to the top of the log after amassing 27 points in 14 games.
Although they have the same number of points as KCB and Nzoia Sugar, they have played fewer matches.
Nairobi City Stars on the other hand are currently ranked 15th, with 11 points, seven more than the bottom-placed Mathare United.
