The Kenya Premier League side Kakamega Homeboyz has unveiled Patrick Odhiambo as their new head coach.

“Patrick Odhiambo returns as our new head coach. He will be assisted by Ibrahim Shikanda and Jeffers Odongo,” part of the statement from the club read.
Cleophas Shimanyalu, the Homeboyz chairman, backed the trio to turn the club’s fortunes around.
''We are bringing in a new set of coaches with a wealth of experience. Coach Patrick has been with us before.
“And we believe alongside Ibrahim Shikanda and Jeffers Odongo, they will turn things around,” he explained.
Most of the club‘s fans have also been impressed with Odhiambo’s appointment, with some of them urging Homeboyz officials to practice patience.
“A good coach. Give him time to settle. Don’t be hungry of winning titles and let him build a team for the future. Patience pays,” commented Peter Atsiaya.
Peter Okidi on the other hand congratulated Odhiambo and wished him the best of luck.
Odhiambo's appointment comes barely a week after Homeboyz sacked former Harambee Stars player John Baraza.
Baraza, who took charge of the Western region-based club on Thursday, October 27, 2022, was fired after struggling to pick up wins.
