Mary Moraa Ends World Indoor Tour Campaign With Loss

Commonwealth Games 800m champion Mary Moraa ended her World Indoor Tor Campaign with a loss after finishing eight.

Moraa clocked a time of 2:02:88 in the women's 800m indoor race that Benin’s Noelle Yarigo won.

Australia’s Catriona Bisset and Uganda’s Winnie Nanyondo, finished second and third, respectively.

Ahead of the race, Morra had clocked her Personal Best of 2:00.61 to finish second in the women's 800m race at the Meeting Hauts-de-France Pas-de-Calais- in Levin, France.

In her first World Athletics Indoor Tour campaign in Poland at the Orlen Copernicus Cup, Moraa finished fourth in 2:01:51. 

After the Indoor Toour, Moraa shifts her focus to the outdoor events.

In the men's field, 22-year-old Kenyan Amos Bett won the 3000m race in 7:42.53.

Bahrain’s Birhanu Balew followed at second in 7:43.20, with Dutchman Tim Verbaandert finishing third (7:48.35).

America’s Daniel Roberts won the men's 60m hurdles final in 7:39, moving up 12th place on the all-time list.

Spain’s Saul Ordóñez won the men's 800m with 1:46:22, three days after winning the national championships.
