Ayub Timbe was on Sunday unveiled for the first time in front of the Vissel Kobe fans after he signed for them three weeks ago.
The Kenyan winger arrived at the club but was forced to undergo a mandatory quarantine routine before being unveiled officially in the club.
Timbe was a free agent and was without a club since mid october last year after he parted ways with Chinese side Beijing Renhe. Ayub Timbe also featured for English side club Reading FC in the EFL Championship where he was on loan at the beginning of last year.
The speedy winger is now set to serve the Japanese giants Vissele Kobe and is excited for the new challenge ahead. The Japanese club is captained by former Barcelona and Spain star midfielder Andres Iniesta.
In a recent interview Ayub Timbe revealed that he consulted his Harambee Stars teammate Michael Olunga while on international duty on which club in Japan would suit him and the Stars striker advised him on joining Vissel Kobe.
Olunga left a mark back in Japan last season while playing for Keyshiwa Reysol and becoming the season's top scorer after scoring 28 goals in 32 games before departing to Qatari side Al Duhail.
The move to Japan will see the 28-year old winger play alongside some experienced players such as Andres Iniesta and former Arsenal star Thomas Varmalean.
