Kenya Simba's will be looking for their third win in a row against Brazil's Os Tupis when the two nations clash in the Stellenbosch Challenge bronze medal match

Paul Odera has named Kenya Simba's squad that will take on the Brazilian side on Saturday, November 20, at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.

These two sides last locked horns on June 17, 2016, in Casablanca with the Simba's clinching the 18-17 victory.

Elkeans Musonye, Joseph Odero and Isaac Njoroge were included in the match day 23 after missing the first two meetings earlier this month.

Other changes in the starting lineup are Brian Tanga moving from the left wing to the scrum half, Ephraim Oduor starts at tighthead after coming off the bench in last week’s clash against Namibia while Andrew Matoka starts at the left wing. All other positions remain unchanged.

“The reason for starting Tanga at scrumhalf is because we are trying to see if his understanding with flyhalf Jone Kubu can be transferred to the National level.”

“Matoka moving to the wing is good for us because he’s exceptionally quick and has a huge boot so hopefully he can put it into good positions on the pitch,” Odera commented on the lin up changes.

Joseph Odero is coming in with a lot of experience and power which will be vitals for Simba.

It will be excellent for the Simba's to get a win tomorrow against Brazil but over and above that, the management team is looking forward to the players leaving the pitch feeling very proud of themselves.

The Stellenbosch Challenge is a World Rugby tournament aimed at helping the four countries prepare for their qualifiers in the 2023 World Cup.
