The 61-year-old joined Tottenham in November 2021, as part of Antonio Conte’s backroom staff.
During Tottenham's 2022/2023 pre-season tour, Ventrone took the team through some rigorous fitness training that left players gasping for breath and even vomiting.
He has previously held the position of a fitness coach at Juventus, Catania, JS Suning, GZ Evergrande and AC Ajaccio.
His family announced that anyone who would like to give Ventrone the last goodbye can do so on Saturday at the Burning Chamber that will be set up at the Fatebenefratelli Napoli Hospital.
His funeral will be held on Sunday, October 9 at the church of San Luigi Gonzaga in Via Petrarca, Italy.
Tottenham also canceled Antonio Conte’s pre-match press conference ahead of their match against Brighton, on Saturday 8.
In their tribute to the fitness coach Italian giants Juventus, noted that Ventrone employed innovative methods in physical conditioning inspired by modern criteria, which led the way in Italy and abroad.
Ventrone was also present in the Italy backroom staff that was led by Marcello Lippi and went on to win the World Cup in 2006.
