
Kenya Premier League Clubs met with Football Kenya Federation (FKF) on Monday, October 17, 2022, to discuss the resumption of football activities in the country.
A total of 14 KPL clubs excluding Talanta Fc, Nzoia, Bandari and Kakamega Homeboyz who sent their apologies met the FKF Chief Executive Officer Barry Otieno.
In the meeting, they resolved the activation of the player registration system, ahead of the impending resumption.

It was agreed that the system will be activated on October 20 to November 22, 2022, to allow clubs to update all player registration done in the recent past, as well as legitimize new transfers.
The clubs and the federation agreed that the League should kick off between November 12 and 20, once there is a green light from the relevant authorities.
The league will also not take a break during the World Cup to recover the time lost during the stalemate.
It was also agreed that the club that will represent Kenya in the 2023 CAF Champions League is the team that will be top of the league by June 30, 2023, which s the set deadline for CAF registration.
The FKF asked the clubs to refrain from match-fixing in order to protect the integrity of the league.
The clubs also made a few appointments to the secretariat with Chris M’mbwanga from Kenya police appointed as Vice Chair, Jectone Obure from Mathare United declared the Organising Secretary and Lydia Ambiyo from Kariobangi Sharks appointed as Co-Secretary.
