
Homeboyz Rugby Club has will not take part in the 2022/2022 Kenya Cup season.
Through a letter dated October 18, from the club's board, Homeboyz noted that it chose to focus on Grass Root Rugby.
This comes a few days after the Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) confirmed the kick-off date of the new season as November 26.

“We no longer wish to partake in the premiership Kenya Cup season, 2022-2023.
“The Board believes that we could make more impact in the game of Rugby by investing at its developmental stage,” part of the statement read.
Homeboyz also deliberated to extend the club's focus to supporting its Rugby Academy and the game's growth at the grass-root level.
It noted that the board would review the return to the premiership next season.
The Kenyan Cup League, set to kick off on November 26, will see promoted sides Catholic Monks and Mean Machine feature.
The 2022/2023 season final will be played on Saturday, March 11, 2023, however, the venue is yet to be determined.
Kabras Sugar lifted the 2021/2022 title after winning 34-28 against Menengai Oilers in Kakamega.
