Kenya Simba's assistant coach Mike Aung revealed the purpose of the squad rotation for the team that will be playing against Portugal in the Final Qualification Tournament in Dubai.
A total of 12 changes were made to the squad that lost to the USA in Simbas' first match at the tournament.
Aung noted that the newly introduced players will also help the squad have a quicker pack and backline.

“We have done some squad rotation compared to the first match. The game against the USA was a physical one so we have gone for slight rotation in the squad,” Aung noted.
The assistant coach noted that they have seen Portugals back three plays, and hopefully, the changes will help reduce the opponent's possession.
21-year-old Amon Wamalwa has been given a debut in the match, with 19-year-old Joshua Weru set to make his first full start.
He also explained why the team lost to the USA in their opening match, noting that it had not done any warm-up matches.
Aung noted that many of the Simbas players during the first match were rusty, lacking the required fine edge.
The coach added that the team has indulged in many training sessions to correct some of the errors during their first match, adding that he was sure the team was in the required mindset.
Aung has assured supporters that come Saturday, November 12, they will see a significant improvement in the team.
