
Brentford striker Ivan Toney has been hit with fresh betting charges ahead of the resumption of the English Premier League on Monday, December 26, 2022.
In November, the 26-year-old was alleged to have broken an Football Association (FA) betting rule 232 times between February 2017, and January 2021.
The FA has further slapped the clinical forward with 30 more charges for breaking other betting rules.

“Ivan Toney has been charged with misconduct in relation to alleged breaches of The FA's Betting Rules.
“In addition to the previous charge, it is alleged that the Brentford FC forward breached FA Rule E8 a further 30 times between 14 March 2017 and 18 February 2019,” part of the statement from the federation read.
The FA has given Toney, who scored two brilliant goals against Manchester City in their last EPL encounter before the World Cup break, until Wednesday, January 4, 2023, to respond.
His club released a statement stating that they will consult him before making further comments on the charges.
"The FA have informed Brentford FC that Ivan Toney has been charged in relation to additional alleged breaches of their betting rules.
"Our private discussions with Ivan and his legal representatives on this matter continue," Brentford stated.
Toney has amassed 10 goals this season and he is among the stars who are in contention for the golden boot this season.
Only Tottenham Hotspur attacker Harry Kane and Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland have scored more goals than Toney.
Haaland tops the log with an awe-inspiring 16 goals while Kane has scored 12 goals so far.
