Football Kenya Federation Premier League side Tusker FC blamed poor officiating for their 2-1 loss against a resurgent Gor Mahia.

In a statement on the club's social media page, Tusker blamed the match officials for the two goals conceded.

The match was played at Kasarani Stadium with Gor Mahia scoring the winning goal through a penalty kick in the 84th minute

“Atrocious officiating today. Ojok is hacked down, no foul, and minutes later we concede from a ghost foul.

“Second goal, handball outside the box. The referee points to the spot. Maybe the rules changed,” Tusker revealed in a statement.

The win saw K’Ogalo extend their unbeaten run to five matches with Tusker failing to win a match for the fourth time in a row.

After the match, Gor Mahia’s head coach Johnathan McKinstry took to his social to congratulate his players for a good match.

“Effort, application and discipline. The hallmarks of a group of players who work tirelessly for themselves, each other and the supporters we represent.

“Three more well-earned points vs Tusker FC today in the FKFPL  for Gor Mahia FC,” his post read.

Recently Nairobi City Stars Chief Executive Officer Patrick Korir alleged that matches in the league were being fixed after a 2-1 loss to Bandari FC on January 29.

He complained over the referee's conduct accusing him of poor officiating.
