The Mumias-based outfit beat their opponents 1-0 in a Division One (Zone B) encounter played at the Homa Bay County-based Ober Primary.
Nyota FC’s goal was scored by talented forward John Ouma also known as “Becker”.

In another fixture, Malindi Progressive and Kibera Soccer FC played to a 1-1 draw in an end-to-end match.
Should Malindi Progressive have collected all three points, they would have moved to the top of Zone A standings.
Mid-table side Equity Bank thrashed a struggling Buruburu Sports 3-0 to move close to the league leaders Young Bulls.
A number of mouth-watering matches have been scheduled for Sunday, February 12.
Zoo FC, who currently occupy the second-place position in the Zone B log, are set to square it out with Nyalenda at the Kericho Green Stadium.
On the other hand, Bungoma Super Stars will travel to the Nyanza region to battle it out with Kisumu Hot Stars while Sigalagala and St. Josephs Youth are expected to entertain each other in Nakuru.
Moreover, Vepgro will face off with Kamugei FC while Transfoc FC and Sunderland Keroche are set to lock horns at the Karai Primary School.
