
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has sealed a partnership deal with Alymali Sports Management that seeks to improve the standards of women’s game in the country.
According to a press release issued by KRU on Monday, February 13, the agreement would cater for the needs of Kenya Lionesses.
“Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) officially signed a partnership agreement with Alymali Sports Management on the Management and Commercialization of the Women's National Team - (The Lionesses).

“The 3-year Partnership will ensure that the Lionesses receive the much-needed support to ensure the smooth running of the team and participation in circuits and tournaments that will improve their overall ranking and exposure,” a joint statement from Alymali Enterprise and KRU read.
KRU chairperson Oduor Gangla, who was present during the signing of the deal, spoke about Kenya Lionesses' untapped potential.
Gangla stated that the Lionesses have continued to produce world-class players despite facing numerous challenges.
He further acknowledged Alymali's effort to enhance the standard of sports in the African continent.
On the hand, The Lionesses' skipper Peruce Mayuka praised the partnership, stating that it came at the right time.
According to her, the much-needed support would go a long way toward helping the national side qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
In his statement, Alymali Enterprise director Silalei Shani thanked KRU for trusting them and promised to look for sponsors for the Lionesses.
