Kenya rugby sevens skipper Nelson Oyoo believes the team has what it takes to escape the relegation axe despite the HSBC world rugby sevens series disappointment in Los Angeles, United States.
The Damian McGrath side lost almost all their matches, picking only one win against Australia in their group opener.
Shujaa hammered Australia 12-7 before being thrashed by Fiji, and Japan.

The team, which continues to struggle this season was also humbled by Canada and the United States.
The dismal performance in Los Angeles earned Kenya a single point and sent the team to the relegation zone.
However, speaking at the end of the two-day tournament, Oyoo stated that he is not a worried man because there are still a number of games for Shujaa to get itself out of the drop zone.
"Boys are somehow demoralized but something that we will pick on going to next week. We are going to take the positives going forward and work on the negatives.
"We are going to try to dig ourselves out of that relegation zone. And the journey is still on, We have not given up.
“We are still on the journey trying to revive our flag and get it back to the world map. That is the way to avoid relegation," he ended.
Oyoo further cited the inability to take chances as the main challenge that made them narrowly lose their match against Japan 7-5.
"Against Japan, we were a bit unlucky. We had so many opportunities to score, but I think it is a lesson that we have learnt. When we get chances, we must take them,” commented Oyoo.
The next stop for the wounded Shujaa is Vancouver 7s scheduled to take place in Canada from Friday, March 3 to Sunday, March 5.
