The 2022 Rugby World Cup that will be played in South Africa will see different nations battle for the title.
In the rugby sevens world tournament, New Zealand has the most titles with three, Fiji is second with two followed by England and Wales, who have one each.
Having qualified for the Rugby World Cup sevens for a sixth consecutive time, Shujaa will begin their global campaign against Tonga on September 9.

2001 Rugby World Cup Sevens
Shujaa made its Rugby World Cup Sevens debut in 2001 at Mar del Plata in Argentina.
Shujaa who were coached by the 2001 Rugby World Cup Sevens at the 2001 Rugby World Cup Sevens Bill Githinji.
Shujaa lost all their group stage matches ending up in the bowl quarter-finals where they registered their first-ever World Cup win, a 12-7 win over France.
They were however not successful in the bowls semifinals losing 12-35 to Chile.
2005 Rugby World Cup Sevens
The 2005 tournament that was held in Hong Kong was successful in their group after defeating Uruguay and Tunisia.
Shujaa were however unable to beat South Africa, Argentina and Russia. In the bowls quarter-finals they overpowered the hosts but lost to Italy in the bowl semis.
The team that played in Hong Kong was led by Bill Githinji.
2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens
In the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens former Shujaa captain the late Benjamin Ayimba was given the task of heading the team.
Shujaa who were playing in Pool E would reach the Melrose Cup quarters as one of the best runners-up.
Shujaa went on to knock Fiji out of the main cup quarters after defeating them 26-7.
Kenya faced Argentina in the semis where they lost 12-0, however, Shujaa had received an automatic qualification to the 2013 World Cup.
2013 Rugby World Cup Sevens
Having finished fourth at the 2009 World Cup, Shujaa had received an automatic qualification for the Moscow global showpiece.
Shujaa who were coached by Mike Friday topped pool C after defeating the Philippines, Zimbabwe and Samoa.
Kenya edged out France in the main cup quarters advancing to the semifinals for a second consecutive time.
Shujaa however fell to England in a match that ended with a 12-5 score line. Kenya finished fourth after losing 29-5 to Fiji in the third-place playoffs.
2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens
The rugby sevens world tournament that was held in San Francisco, USA saw Shujaa being led by Innocent Simiyu.
The tournament that year was different as the USA adopted a new, knock-out-only format.
Shujaa kicked off their campaign with a 19-7 win over Tonga advancing to the round of 16 where they lost 31-26 to Scotland.
Shujaa dropped to the Challenge Trophy quarterfinals where they lost 24-14 to Ireland. Kenya's loss to Samoa and Japan saw the team finishing at position 16.
