Togo legend Emmanuel Adebayor was the second high profile star to visit the Harambee Stars dressing room after two amazing displays against their much fancied opponents.
An outstanding display against the Pharaohs last week triggered Liverpool star Mohamed Salah to go to the Stars dressing room and share a word with them. Last night, Harambee Stars beat Togo 2-1 in Lome and Adebayor was their guest after the games.
In a video captured by the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) communication team, the former Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Real Madrid star spared some encouraging words for the Harambee Stars who completely dominated their opponents.
The lanky forward urged the players to strive and make their careers a success as he also sensitized the players on Covid-19.
“I just want to tell you guys to believe in yourselves, no matter what just give it 100%, you never know what tomorrow is made of, you can become a hero or a villain, put all the chances on your side to become a hero.”
“Good luck as you continue with your careers, we have to wear masks and protect ourselves, if we are not healthy we cannot do our job so you guys have to send the message out there so once again good luck,” said Adebayor.
Harambee Stars whose last victory was way back in 2015(in Mauritius) beat Togo 2-1 to finish third in group G of the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
Egypt emerged group winners courtesy of a 4-0 winners over Comoros who had already qualified for the tournament to be held in Cameroon in January 2022.
