Shujaa Finish Third in Emirates Invitational, Lionesses Thrashed

The Kenya 7s mens team ended their day 2 campaign in style as they finished in third place at the Emirates invitational 7s after thrashing Japan 31-14 in the playoff game at the Emirates Sevens Stadium in Dubai.

Shujaa began their day 2 of the tournament on a high note by securing a 21 -19 victory against Canada in a tight fixture of the cup quarter finals.

Shujaa then proceeded into the tournament semifinals facing off France in the second game of the day but fell 5-17 to bow out of the tournament.

The Kenya Lionesses however ended their day 2 campaign poorly after they lost all their 3 matches.

The Lionesses  began the day by facing Brazil in their 4th pool match which had the latter winning 17-5. They then clashed with France on their second game of the day seeing France beat the Lionesses 31 -12. Later that day the Kenyan Ladies again succumbed 43-0 to the French side on their 6th pool match.

The second tournament of the competitive training camp in dubai will be held from Thursday 8th to Friday 9th. The tournaments are formed to keep the teams in shape for the upcoming Olympic games in Tokyo from July 23 to August 8th this year.
