AFC leopards head coach Patrick Aussems announced through his twitter handle that he will be returning back to his native home in Belgium to spend some time with his family since the government had suspended all sporting events within the country with no specific return date due to the high rise in covid 19 cases.

With the Belgian assuring the AFC leopards fans that he will be using the time to visit his family back in Belgium ,there are still question marks of him returning back to the club.

His departure to Belgium has triggered reactions from some of the club's faithful and die hard fans such as Nairobi Senator Johnson who commented on the tacticians tweet telling him `usikose kurudi' meaning that he should return back with no fail once sports resume within the country.

Most of the club's faithful are skeptical of their manager's return since it's a norm that is within most foreign tacticians from other KPL sides to take time off and spend with their loved ones only for them not to return.

Such a case happened to their rivals Gor Mahia whose coach Steven Pollack fled back to his home in Finland after he asked for 10 days off duty. The club were expecting the tactician to carry on with his coaching duties on his return but ended up extending his stay and eventually parting ways with the club a month after he took 10 days off.

At Gor Mahia Steven Pollack was not the first to part ways with the club while still on holiday, his predecessor Turkish tactician Hassan Oktay who took some time off to attend to some personal matters but never returned back to the club.

A similar situation happened at AFC leopards back in 2019 when their coach Andre Cassa Mbugo left for the December holidays and failed to return back.

This pursuit of history has therefore raised the fans eyebrows over their current head coach's return to the club. With all the worries about the Finnish's return to the club the management and fans are still hopeful that Patrick Aussems will keep his word.
