Alex Alumira Gets New Job At Tanzania's Tiger Queens

Alex Alumira

Former Vihiga Queens coach Alex Alumira was unveiled as the new head coach of the Tiger Queens after stalled discussions between the two parties but soon came to fruition. “Cumulatively, this was the best deal I could get because of the length of contract and remuneration offered,” Alex Alumirah said, without disclosing particulars of the five year contract with Tiger Queens.

For Alumirah, the Serengeti Lite Women’s Premier League will pose a new and different challenge. Used to being at the top, Alumirah managed four league titles, with one in the First Division and three in the Premier League. He never finished lower than fourth. In Tanzania, he will come up against the might of Simba Queens, who retained their Premier League title by going unbeaten in the just concluded season.

“My plan is to go there, introduce myself and try to build a team that can compete. “After building the team, I can decide whether we can start going for titles. But basically, when we are building a team, we are thinking about winning titles.” Alumira added.
