Cecafa Womens Champions League qualifiers continue Simba Tackle Doves

Uganda’s Lady Doves will face Tanzania’s Simba Queens on Tuesday, August 31 at the Kasarani Stadium in the CAF Women Champions League CECAFA qualifiers at 4:00 pm.

Djibouti’s FAD FC will also face Burundi’s PVP FC today at 1:00 pm at the same venue.

Earlier on Saturday, August 28, Lady Doves and Queens beat Djibouti’s FAD FC and Burundi’s PVP 5-0 and 4-1 respectively.

In the first match played at the Nyayo stadium, Riticia Nabbosa opened the scores for the Lady Doves after heading in the ball from the penalty area in the 16th minute.

In the 30th minute, Fazila Ikwaput doubled the scores for the lady doves through her shot from the edge of the area. This sealed the half-time score at 2-0.

After the breather, Alupo Norah gave Lady Doves a 3-0 lead and after a mishap from Djibouti’s defender Nasteho Roble Djama saw her earn Lady Doves their fourth goal in the 64th minute.

At the 11th hour, Fazila Ikwaput bagged her brace after bagging the fifth goal for Lady Doves, sealing the full-time scores at 5-0.

On the other hand, Tanzania’s Simba Queens mastered a 4-1 win against Burundi’s PVP. With Danai Bhobho opening the scores for Simba Queens in the 1st minute and in the 32nd minute, her counterpart Flavine Musolo netted the second goal for Simba Queens, sealing off the halftime scores at 2-0.

During the second half, Nasra Nahimana for Burundi’s side managed to score one after converting a penalty in the 56th minute.

Finally, Flavine Musolo and Aisha Mnunka sealed the scores at the 84th and 92nd minute.
