David Ouma Sacked, Okere Appointed as Harambee Starlets Coach

Football Kenya Federation has appointed Charles Okere as the newHarambee Starlets Head Coach. Okere takes over from long serving David Ouma who has parted ways with the federation on mutual consent.

Former Kibera Black Stars and currently the KCB FC assistant coach Godfrey ‘Solo’Oduor will serve as Okere’s assistant in a ring of changes made by FKF.

The Starlets will report to camp on Wednesday in preparation for the upcoming friendly match against Zambia’s Copper Bullets and the Africa Women's Cup of Champions (AWCON) qualifiers.

The new technical bench faces an uphill task to ensure that Starlets qualify for the AWCON and the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

Okere’s first task will be the upcoming friendly match against Zambia on 24th of April. Up next will be the AWCON qualifiers slated for June.
