A Champions League winner, a title winner and now a member of the Premier League's illustrious 100 club, Mohamed Salah is truly an incredible player still hungry to break the barriers that seem almost impossible. Here are some of the records the Liverpool star could break in the current 2021/2022 season.

Champion League Goals:

Currently, the top player in Liverpool with the most goals in the champions league is Steven Gerard (30). Mohamed Salah is now shy of a goal (29) from reaching the mark set by the Liverpool legend now turned Rangers Head Coach. The Egyptian scored twice on what has become a familiar spree in Estadio do Dragao facing off against Porto in their last Champions League match. On 19th October, Liverpool will be facing Atletico Madrid in what many presume will be a sizzling match that might pave way for more brilliance as the Egyptian aims to finally surpass the long held record.

Top African Player:

The African player with the most goals in Premier League history is currently Didier Drogba with 104. Salah is currently on 102 and still hungry enough to surpass the huge feat. Salah scored his maiden Premier League goal against Arsenal in March 2014 during his stint at Chelsea. After Drogba and Salah, former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor follows in the third spot with 97 goals.

Drogba, who represented the Blues between 2004 and 2012 (including a second stint in 2014/15), registered 104 goals during his trophy-laden stint at Stamford Bridge, becoming the first African centurion in the Premier League as a result.

3 Golden Boots:

Salah has won two Premier League Golden Boot awards so far. If he ends up scoring the most goals in the 2021-22 season, he will equal Alan Shearer and Harry Kane's tally of 3. Only two players have won the Golden Boot three or more times in the history of the Premier League, those being Shearer (three) and Thierry Henry (four).
