
Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Kepa Arrizabalaga, has of late been criticised negatively over his performance during Chelsea defeat against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
Kepa, who replaced Mendy in the last minutes of the extra time in order to help his team through the penalty shootout, missed his spot kick.
His girlfriend, Andrea Martinez who was the Miss Universe Spain in 2020, has come out to defend the Spanish goalkeeper.

“One of the things I've learnt when I was a basketball player was that a team is always a team. There are no heroes, there are no villains.
“In my personal opinion, this is a very unfair situation and I'm not just talking about today. Real supporters must show love today, not just when we win.
“Kepa Arrizabalaga we are so proud of you, as a goalkeeper and even more as a person.
“Humble, brilliant, kind, generous, intelligent, hard worker, talented and the most beautiful soul I've ever met. This is just the small line of a huge book. Let's go my boy, let's go guys. Love you,” she commented.
During the match the 29 year old was in the stands at Wembley to offer support to the boyfriend and his club.
Also to his defence was the Chelsea head coach, Thomas Tuchel, who noted that if there was anyone to be blamed it should be him and not Kepa.
“If you want to blame someone, blame me. I took the decisions and I don’t take them to be the hero. We have reasons. I try to explain the reasons,” Tuchel noted.
