
French Ligue 1 side FC Metz is set to construct six stadiums in tribute to the six Senegalese AFCON 2021 champions.
These six stadiums will be named after Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ismaila Sarr, Bouna Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr and Habib Diallo.
The construction of the stadiums is meant to honour the contribution of the six players who helped Senegal win the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

The initiative is under one of the club's partners, Generation Foot, a football Academy established in 2000.
The partnership between the French side FC Metz and Génération Foot has been in existence for a long time, with the club signing proteges from Senegal.
The Football Academy under Senegalese former footballer Mady Toure partnered with FC Metz in 2003 after failing to sign a deal with AS Nancy in 2000.
Sadio Mane, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ismaila Sarr, Bouna Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr and Habib Diallo all played for FC Metz before moving on to various European clubs.
All the six stars were also natured and groomed by Génération Foot. In 2020 the Academy penned down a new 10 year deal with the French side.
The partnership ensures Metz can sign the best of talents from Génération Foot in return the French-based club supports the academy with both equipment and financial aid.
Senegal was successful in the 2021 AFCON campaign after emerging victories over Egypt as Mane scored the winning penalty to make history for the West African nation.
