
A mysterious fire broke out at Amsterdam Arena ahead of an Eredivisie clash between Ajax and Feyenoord on Sunday, March 20.
The fire began after several flares were set off by the home fans who were cheering on their team before the kick off.
Fire broke out once the flares went out with visible plumes of smoke covering the stands. It was not immediately established who had the idea of the flares between the club and fans.

It took the fire fighters minutes to extinguish the inferno, eventually creating a very dangerous cloud of smoke behind the goalpost at the stands.
It was reported that one or more flares caught a banner, which caused the fire, with officials yet to announce whether were any injuries after the incident.
The eagerly waited-for match finally kicked off, after the scare.
The fixture between Ajax and Feyenoord is one of the biggest matches in Dutch football referred to as De Klassieker.
It was a thrilling and entertaining clash with Ajax taking all the three points with a 3-2 win.
Ajax are considered to be the most successful Netherland football club having won a record 35 Eredivisie titles, a record 20 Dutch Cups and nine Dutch Super Cups.
Internationally the club has won a total of four Champions Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, the UEFA Cup and European Cup Winners' Cup.
